Job summary

Safran is seeking an NDT Inspector to perform UT Straight Beam, UT Angle Beam, PAUT, FPI, and MPI inspections in accordance with approved procedures and standards.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in UT straight and angle beam flaw detection, PAUT data acquisition and interpretation, and FPI/MPI processes, with knowledge of EN4179, NAS410, ASTM, and ASME standards. Reading drawings and understanding material properties are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in UT straight beam and angle beam flaw detection.
• Knowledge of PAUT scanning, data acquisition, and interpretation.
• Experience with FPI and MPI inspection processes.
• Familiarity with aerospace and industrial standards: EN4179, NAS410, ASTM, ASME.
• Ability to read technical drawings and inspection procedures.
• Good understanding of material properties and defect characterization.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using UT Straight Probe, UT Angle Probe, PAUT, FPI, and MPI according to approved procedures.
• Read and interpret inspection procedures and engineering drawings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace and industrial standards.
• Document findings, classify defects, and report results.
• Maintain calibration and QA/QC during inspections.
