Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) is seeking a NDT Inspector - Level 2 to perform and supervise non-destructive testing on aircraft components in line with DGCA regulations and OEM manuals. The role focuses on maintaining airworthiness and supporting maintenance operations within an approved MRO.

The ideal candidate will hold a B. Tech / Diploma in Engineering or AME, along with a valid NAS 410 / EN 4179 NDT Level II certification for Ultrasonic Inspection and have 3–5 years of DGCA-approved

Qualifications

  • Valid NDT Level II in Ultrasonic Inspection (NAS 410 / EN 4179) from a UK NANDTB approved institute.
  • Level 2 in other NDT methods is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT using UT on aircraft components.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely inspections.
  • Prepare inspection reports with traceability documentation.
  • Ensure calibration and alignment with DGCA CAR, AMM/CMM/SRM.
  • Support audits and DGCA compliance.

Role Overview

The NDT Inspector -Level 2 is responsible for performing and supervising non-destructive testing activities on aircraft components and structures in compliance with DGCA regulations, OEM manuals, and applicable international standards. The role ensures continued airworthiness by identifying defects, interpreting inspection results, and supporting maintenance operations within an approved MRO organization.

Qualifications
  • B. Tech / Diploma in Engineering / AME
  • Valid NDT Level II Certification (NAS 410 / EN 4179) in Ultrasonic Inspection from UK NANDTB Approved Institute. Level 2 in other methods is added advantage.
Experience
  • 3–5 years in DGCA-approved MRO or Aircraft Assembly or Aircraft Component Manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in Composite component inspection using UT
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using UT.
  • Gathered OJT in other methods under level 2 supervision.
  • Conduct inspections as per DGCA CAR, OEM manuals (AMM/CMM/SRM), and approved procedures
  • Interpret test results and evaluate defects against acceptance criteria
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain traceability documentation
  • Coordinate with AMEs and maintenance teams for timely inspections
  • Ensure equipment calibration and compliance with safety standards
  • Support audits and adhere to QMS and DGCA requirements
Key Skills
