Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Murex Support Engineer in Hyderabad to provide production support for Murex/MLC/Risk users across Front and Back Office, Finance, and related areas.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of Murex experience, strong SQL and Unix scripting skills, and deep knowledge of Murex FO/MLC modules, with the ability to own critical issues and drive resolutions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Murex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Murex front office module and FO/MLC.
• Proficient in SQL, Unix shell scripting, and Linux.
• Experience with Murex simulations, pre-trade debugging, and risk/PNL workflows.
• Ability to diagnose and fix pre-trade rules and Murex booking issues.
• Ability to work with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support for Murex/MLC/Risk users (Front office, Back office, Finance, etc.).
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and other support teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Own high-severity issues and drive resolution to closure.
• Contribute to RCA and deliver pre-emptive solutions for production stability.
• Assist in rolling out new application versions following release management practices.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new Murex functionalities while supporting daily operations.
• Communicate effectively across different business and support units.

Responsibilities

• To track and be responsible for providing optimum service levels for day-to-day production support for the Murex/MLC/Risk users (Front office, Back office, Finance, etc.).
• To collaborate with third party vendor/other support teams to provide a seamless support model for the business.
• Able to take ownership of high-severity issues and follow through to closure.
• Answerable to business users and provide strategic long-term solutions, participate in RCA, and provide pre-emptive solutions for production stability.
• To assist in rolling out a new version of the application, adhering to the best practices of the release management procedures.
• To be able to drive himself/herself to learn new things while dealing with daily production support.
• To communicate effectively and work efficiently across different Business and support units.

SKILLS

Must have

• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge in Murex application, Simulation, pre-trade debugging, simulation, e-trade pad, GOM, PNL, PLVA, SQL, Unix Shell scripting, Linux
• Strong knowledge of Murex front office Module
• Strong knowledge of FO/MLC
• Good understanding of GOM module, trade lifecycle
• Able to handle front office booking issues
• Strong debugging knowledge of pre-trade rules and debugging
• Able to write SQL code
• Strong knowledge of MSL, access rights, portfolio tree, e-trade pad, Simulation
• Have to work on simulation / PNL mismatch issues
• Able to support Murex functional module independently

Nice to have

Working knowledge of the credit trading landscape is a big plus.
