A complete application in a minute
Tailored resume and cover letter, ready to send.
Jane Aerospace, Bengaluru-based, seeks a versatile designer who can handle brand, video, and product UI work across three company entities. You will own the brand system, produce multi-brand campaigns, and co-create user interfaces for internal and customer-facing tools.
You must demonstrate real strength in at least one craft while remaining proficient in the others, with a willingness to evolve. The role is fully office-based in Bengaluru, with a structured but demanding workload and a cap on
This role is graphic and brand design, AND video editing, AND product interface design. Not one of them. Not two. Your portfolio must show all three, and the very first application question asks you to confirm it — answer No and the application ends there.
If you specialise in one craft and want to keep specialising, this is a good job for someone else. We would rather you knew that in the first ten seconds than in week three.
You must be free of notice period obligations by 1 December. If you are serving a 60 or 90-day notice, the timing will not work and we cannot make an exception.
Please read this all the way to the end before applying. It is long on purpose — it tells you exactly what the job is, what it is not, and what we will not budge on. Applications from people who clearly have not read it are easy to spot, and we do not take them forward.
Jane Aerospace is a Bengaluru-based aerospace and drone supply chain company. We source aircraft parts, drone components and industrial materials for operators, MROs and manufacturers, and we are building Supply Chain as a Service — a subscription model that takes over procurement for our clients entirely.
We run three companies — in India, Hong Kong and the UAE — and you would work across all three. We are bootstrapped, we are small, and people here own real things early.
You would be the only designer in the company, serving both marketing and the engineering side.
ONE THING WE WANT TO BE HONEST ABOUT. Nobody at one to three years is world-class at all three of these, and we are not pretending otherwise. We want someone genuinely strong in at least one, competent in the other two, and hungry to get better at all of them.
WHERE THE HOURS ACTUALLY GO. About 60% of your week is marketing craft — graphic and video. About 40% is product interface work. Interface design is the smaller share and the hardest of the three to replace, so we test it carefully. But if graphic and video are not real strengths of yours, you will be underwater from week one.
The second honest thing: this is a lot of work for one person, and we know it. The video volume is capped in writing below rather than left open, and if the work justifies it we expect to add a second designer around March or April. We would rather tell you now than have you discover the load in month two.
WHO HOLDS YOUR QUEUE. The Marketing Specialist holds it, so two teams cannot pull you in opposite directions at once. That protection is deliberate: this role fails when nobody owns the queue, because then everything is urgent, interface work always slips — it has no weekly deadline — and a year later the company has a lot of social posts and no design system.
Brand and graphic — the guidelines exist, the system does not -
Video — capped, and the cap is real -
Our content model is one substantial long-form piece per brand, cut down into everything else.
We wrote the cap down because an uncapped video queue is the most reliable way to destroy a role like this. The derivatives are the part that expands without anyone noticing.
Product interface — about 40% of your time -
We mean this sincerely — it saves everyone time.
₹40,000 to ₹45,000 per month CTC (₹4.8–5.4 lakh per annum), depending on experience and on the strength of your portfolio. CTC means cost to company; your in-hand figure will be lower after statutory deductions, and we will show you the exact breakdown at offer stage.
The real compensation here is the ownership. You would take a brand from a guidelines document to the thing three companies actually run on, and design the products as well as the marketing. Most designers wait years to own that much surface.
Four rounds. We have deliberately kept the unpaid work small.
The walkthrough sits in the in-person round on purpose. It is only worth anything if the person listening can ask the next question, and the one after that. We are not willing to automate that.
ON AI: use it. We do, and we expect you to. But you will be called to account for your own decisions in rounds three and four, and work you cannot explain is worth nothing to us.
