Job summary

NTT DATA in Bengaluru is seeking an entry-level Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) to help keep client IT infrastructure operational. You will monitor systems, identify and resolve incidents, and provide telephonic or chat support as part of a focused, service-oriented team.

You will work onsite, collaborate with project work and disaster recovery exercises, and contribute to process improvement and automation opportunities to maintain high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Provide managed services to ensure client IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.
• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems to support clients.
• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions, catching errors before or as they occur.
• Investigate first-line incidents, understand root causes, and follow approved procedures for request fulfilment.
• Provide telephonic, ITSM ticket or chat support, perform maintenance activities like patching and configuration changes, and ensure smooth shift handovers for continuous service.
• Identify opportunities for optimization, including reducing common incidents or finding automation possibilities for request fulfilment, incident resolution, and process improvements.
• Occasionally support project work and disaster recovery functions and tests, contributing to broader goals.
• Escalate issues when necessary and help update knowledge with valuable insights.
