Job summary

Likewize is seeking a Monitoring Engineer to join the IT Operations team in Chennai. You will handle infrastructure, application and web performance monitoring, and incident management to maintain system health and availability.

The role requires 5+ years of IT support, 2+ years in a command center, familiarity with ITSM concepts, and hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or AppDynamics, as well as SQL Server/MySQL knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT support experience.
• 2+ years in a command center/operations center.
• Experience with ITSM concepts is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring tools integration with ITSM tickets.
• Ability to configure and monitor URLs and report key KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure, applications and web performance to ensure availability.
• Escalate to Level 2 based on alert types; assist problem management with repetitive issues.
• Configure monitoring tools and integrate with ITSM ticketing systems.
• Provide reporting on key monitoring KPIs and system health.
• Perform checks for CPU, memory, bandwidth and other configured metrics.

Skills: Infrastructure, Application, Web Performance Monitoring & Incident Management.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of IT Support experience
• 2+ years of IT Command Center experience.
• Good to have knowledge on ITSM concepts.
• Solarwinds / App Dynamic monitoring experience is preferable.
• Good to have experience in Installation and Management of tool.
• Monitoring tool integration with ITSM ticketing tool, Monitoring tool upgrade experience based on the documented instructions is preferred.
• Configure and monitoring of URLs.
• Important to have knowledge on reporting for key monitoring KPIs
• Perform checks to ensure all systems report CPU, Memory and appropriate interface bandwidth or any other metrics configured for the device.
• Escalate to Level 2 team based on the alert type
• Perform analysis on repetitive alerts and work with the Level 2 technical team and Problem management team to fix the repetitive issues
• Good to have database management systems, such as SQL Server and MySQL knowledge.
