Job summary

Western Sealtech in Talasari, Maharashtra, is looking for a Mechanical or Tool and Die Engineer to design and develop dies, molds, and tooling for rubber and engineering components. Proficiency in SolidWorks is a must, along with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will ensure designs are optimized for functionality and work closely with production teams to validate designs. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Tool and Die Engineering is required.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and develop dies, molds, and tooling for rubber and engineering components
• Create detailed 2D and 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, functionality, and efficiency
• Coordinate with production and tool room teams to validate designs and implement improvements
• Modify and update existing die and mold designs based on feedback and production requirements
• Support troubleshooting of die-related issues during production
• Maintain organized documentation of designs, revisions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Skills Required

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory) for 3D modeling and die design
• Understanding of die and mold manufacturing processes and materials
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• Ability to coordinate with tool room and production teams for design validation
