Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced SAP QM Consultant to implement, support, and optimize SAP Quality Management processes across MM, PP, PM, SD and WM/EWM. You will gather business requirements, configure QM, perform testing and UAT, create specs with ABAP team, train end users, and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and SAP QM certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in SAP Quality Management (QM) processes.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA QM functionalities, especially quality planning.
• Experience integrating QM with MM, PP, PM, SD and WM/EWM.
• Ability to gather and analyze business requirements effectively.
• Experience in system testing and UAT; end-user training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP QM solutions.
• Configure and support SAP QM processes in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Set up and maintain Inspection Types, Inspection Plans, Sampling Procedures, MICs, Quality Info Records, and Quality Notifications.
• Support incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality inspections.
• Design quality control processes and defect management; integrate QM with MM/PP/PM/SD/WM/EWM.
• Perform testing, assist UAT, resolve defects, and support go-live activities.
• Create functional specs and collaborate with ABAP developers for custom developments.
• Conduct end-user training and prepare process documentation.

We are seeking an experienced SAP QM Consultant to implement, support, and optimize SAP Quality Management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in quality planning, quality inspection, quality notifications, audit management, and integration with SAP modules such as MM, PP, PM, and SD. This role is critical in ensuring the quality standards of our products and services are met through effective SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective SAP QM solutions.
• Configure and support SAP QM processes in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Set up and maintain the following components:
  • Inspection Types
  • Inspection Plans
  • Sampling Procedures
  • Master Inspection Characteristics (MICs)
  • Quality Info Records
  • Quality Notifications
• Support incoming, in process, and outgoing quality inspections.
• Design and configure quality control processes and defect management solutions.
• Integrate SAP QM with:
  • Materials Management (MM)
  • Production Planning (PP)
  • Plant Maintenance (PM)
  • Sales and Distribution (SD)
  • Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)
• Perform system testing, provide UAT support, resolve defects, and manage go live activities.
• Create functional specifications and collaborate closely with ABAP developers for custom developments.
• Conduct end user training and prepare comprehensive process documentation.
• Provide ongoing production support and drive continuous process improvements.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong expertise in SAP Quality Management (QM) processes.
• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, specifically in quality planning functionalities.
• Experience in integrating SAP QM with MM, PP, PM, SD, and WM/EWM modules.
• Ability to gather and analyze business requirements effectively.
• Experience in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ABAP for functional specifications.
• Experience in conducting end user training sessions.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant SAP certifications in Quality Management are a plus.
