Job summary

TATA Marcopolo Motors Ltd. Dharwad is seeking a module lead for the UV&Q5 project to drive, supervise, and finalize PTI component design and integration. This is a replacement role for the current module lead, focusing on mounting systems and NVH aspects.

The incumbent will coordinate with suppliers, manage design validation, and ensure manufacturability and serviceability of engine/transmission mounting solutions within PVBU programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Design & development of mounting system (Engine/Transmission) and suspension bushes for PVBU projects at TML.
• Conduct 6-DOF analysis & propose mounting system to meet cost, weight & PAT targets.
• Knowledge about bush shape, rates, durability and application.
• Benchmark and select type of mount/bush suitable to meet PAT performance.
• Preparation of RFI/RFQ & SOR.
• Proficiency in Pro-E.
• Well aware of PLM system, BOM structure, DMU environment.
• Knowledge on dynamic envelope for powertrain system.
• Knowledge on NVH related to mounting system (Key on/off, idle, Tip in/back out, Rattle, Boom etc).
• Knowledge of NVH related to bushes (Impact harshness, ride compliance).
• Design for manufacturability & servicability.
• Monitering the development progress with various validation agencies.
• Coordination with supplier during design & development process.
• Knowledge on rubber/elastomer and its behaviour is an added advantage.
• Technology adoptation initiatives including hydromount, hydrobush active mount technology.
