Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience testing mobile apps on Android and iOS.
• Solid grasp of functional, regression, UI/UX, API, compatibility, and performance testing.
• Hands-on with Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or similar tools.
• Proficient in Postman/REST API testing.
• Knowledge of STLC, defect life cycle, and Agile/Scrum release processes.
• Experience with JIRA or defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and defect reproduction skills.
• Ability to read logs and crash reports to identify issues.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, and maintain test cases for Android and iOS apps.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Application QA professional with strong expertise in testing Android and iOS applications. The candidate will be responsible for functional, API, automation, compatibility, regression, performance, and basic security testing while ensuring high-quality application releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, and maintain test cases for Android and iOS applications.
• Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, API, performance, compatibility, and basic security testing.
• Develop and maintain automation test suites using Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or equivalent tools.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST clients, or similar tools.
• Identify, log, track, retest, and report defects with detailed documentation and evidence.
• Validate application performance across multiple devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and network conditions.
• Collaborate with developers to analyse issues, validate fixes, and improve product quality.
• Participate in requirement reviews, impact analysis, test strategy discussions, and sprint planning.
• Ensure adherence to QA processes, secure testing practices, compliance requirements, and release testing standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in mobile application testing for Android and iOS.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, compatibility, and API testing.
• Hands-on knowledge of Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in Postman/REST API testing.
• Good understanding of STLC, Defect Life Cycle, Agile/Scrum, and release processes.
• Experience with JIRA or other defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect-identification skills.
• Ability to understand logs, crash reports, device behaviour, and issue reproduction steps.
• Good communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Experience in Banking, FinTech, Payments, UPI, IMPS, AEPS, or BBPS domains.
• Knowledge of mobile security concepts, secure data handling, authentication, encryption, and compliance guidelines.
