Job summary

Sound & Vision Studios Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai is seeking a skilled Mix Engineer to lead high-quality audio for dubbing, subtitling, and post-production across languages.

You will manage projects independently, troubleshoot studio systems, collaborate with PMs and voice talent, and ensure timely delivery while upholding SVS's quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in audio engineering or equivalent from a recognized institute.
• 4–6 years hands-on experience in dubbing, OTT, TV, film, or audio post-production.
• Advanced Pro Tools proficiency with strong DAW knowledge, routing, and session management.
• Deep knowledge of dialogue editing, dubbing workflows, synchronization, mixing, and loudness standards.

Responsibilities

• Mix and master content to deliver a polished final output that meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Language QCs, and stakeholders for on-time delivery.
• Review audio tracks, identify issues, and provide correction markers.
• Implement dubbing corrections and ensure consistency across projects.
• Perform quality checks to ensure dubbing matches original content.
• Maintain project documentation, glossaries, and delivery records.
• Troubleshoot basic studio hardware and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Keep stakeholders updated on project progress and delivery status.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Mix Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering high-quality audio. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can independently manage projects while maintaining SVI's quality standards

Key Responsibilities

• Mix and master content to produce a polished final output aligned with client and SVS quality standards
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Language QCs, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery
• Review audio tracks, identify issues, and provide markers for necessary corrections
• Implement dubbing corrections and ensure consistency across projects
• Perform quality checks to ensure the dubbed version accurately reflects the original content
• Maintain project documentation, glossaries, and delivery records as required
• Troubleshoot basic studio and audio equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when needed
• Keep relevant stakeholders updated on project progress and delivery status

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Certification in Audio Engineering, Sound Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized institute
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in dubbing, OTT, television, film, animation, or audio post-production
• Advanced proficiency in Pro Tools and strong understanding of DAWs, audio routing, signal flow, and session management
• Strong knowledge of dialogue editing, dubbing workflows, synchronization, mixing, mastering and loudness standards
• Ability to identify and resolve audio issues including noise, distortion, sync errors, clicks, pops, and level inconsistencies
• Experience working with multi-language dubbing projects is preferred
• Familiarity with audio formats, codecs, deliverables, and client specifications for broadcast and OTT platforms
• Basic troubleshooting skills for studio hardware, interfaces, microphones, monitoring systems, and recording equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under tight deadlines
• Good communication, coordination, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project managers, QCs, directors and voice talent

Nice to Have

• Experience with major OTT platform deliveries
• Knowledge of Dolby workflows, surround sound mixing, or immersive audio formats
• Prior experience leading projects or mentoring junior audio engineers
