Aule Space in Bengaluru invites a Mission Design intern to work with our Missions team on RPOD mission profile design and analysis. You will design and optimize satellite orbits, prepares budgets, and document findings to support mission objectives.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in aerospace or related field, with exposure to orbital mechanics, and experience with simulation tools. This internship offers a competitive stipend and potential for a future full-time role.

Formación

• Knowledge of orbital mechanics, spacecraft design, and space environment.
• Experience with mission design tools (STK, GMAT, Orekit, or Freeflyer).
• Student satellite teams or technical teams preferred for collaborative work.

As a Mission Design intern, you will collaborate closely with our Missions team for the design and analysis of the Rendezvous, Proximity Operations and Docking (RPOD) mission profile.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize satellite orbits, RPOD maneuver profiles, and validate against defined mission requirements and system constraints
• Analyse orbit simulations and prepare preliminary budgets for supporting system and subsystem designs
• Research relevant mission studies and technical literature to inform design decisions
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support mission objectives

What we look for

• Knowledge of orbital mechanics, spacecraft design, and space environment
• Experience working with at least one of the mission design tools (STK, GMAT, Orekit, or Freeflyer)
• You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapt quickly, and enjoy solving hard problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work in student satellite teams or technical teams, building collaboratively
• Prior experience in simulation and analysis for satellite mission design
• Knowledge of spacecraft GNC design
