Job summary

Aule Space in Bengaluru is seeking an engineer to design, simulate, and analyze rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking missions, translating requirements into system-level specs and verifying against constraints.

You will collaborate with mission operations, flight dynamics, and flight software teams to explore trade studies and optimize orbit design, RPO maneuvers, and relative motion analyses. Proficiency in MATLAB, Python or C++, and hands-on STK experience are preferred.

• 1+ years of experience in mission design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling, simulation, analysis, and optimization of orbit design, RPO maneuvers, and relative motion analyses.
• Design and optimize mission CONOPs to support all mission phases including launch, commissioning, RPOD and end-of-life planning
• Perform critical trade studies that drive early design decisions balancing performance, cost, schedule, and risk
• Collaborate with Systems, Payload and subsystem teams to translate mission requirements into system and subsystem level requirements
• Track requirements, performance budgets, and critical parameters across the project life cycle, and support technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders

Job description

In this role, you will work on design, simulation, and analysis for our Rendezvous, Proximity operations, and Docking mission. Your work will involve simulating mission scenarios and verification of mission-level requirements against system constraints. You will be collaborating with multiple teams across mission operations, flight dynamics, flight software to define a first-of-its-kind satellite servicing mission.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of spacecraft GNC design
• Prior experience in simulation and analysis for RPO, formation flying, or docking missions
• Experience with additional mission design tools (GMAT, Freeflyer, or Orekit)
