Job summary

PwC India is seeking a Middleware Operations Engineer to manage, optimize, and troubleshoot our core application infrastructure. This role bridges development and operations to ensure high availability, security, and automated deployments across the enterprise middleware stack.

You will work with WebLogic, Tomcat, and JBoss/WildFly, design CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, automate using Ansible, and monitor performance with New Relic, while collaborating with development and QA teams on releases

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of hands-on middleware admin experience.
• Deep expertise in WebLogic, Tomcat, and JBoss.
• Proven Jenkins and Ansible proficiency; New Relic observability.
• Linux/Unix environments with Bash/Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain WebLogic, Tomcat, and JBoss in prod/non-prod.

Middleware Operations Engineer

Location: Bangalore

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Middleware Operations Engineer to manage, optimize, and troubleshoot our core application infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations by ensuring high availability, robust security, and automated deployments across our enterprise middleware stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Server Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain WebLogic, Tomcat, and JBoss/WildFly middleware environments in enterprise production and non-production tiers.
• CI/CD & Automation: Design, maintain, and execute automated application deployments using Jenkins, and streamline configuration management via Ansible.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and resolve complex incidents using New Relic and native server logs.
• Collaboration: Partner with development and QA teams to support seamless releases, infrastructure scaling, and security compliance updates.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 7-10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise middleware administration.
• Core Technologies: Deep expertise in Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, and JBoss.
• DevOps Tools: Proven proficiency with Jenkins (pipeline management) and Ansible (playbooks, configuration automation).
• Observability: Strong background in performance tuning, log analysis, and application monitoring using New Relic.
• OS Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash, Python).
