Job summary

EPAM Systems in Mumbai seeks a Middle Management Delivery Manager - Google Cloud (GCP) to lead large-scale cloud migration programs. You will oversee planning, governance, metrics, and cutover activities while guiding teams through technical and business trade-offs.

The role requires 5+ years in IT delivery, deep GCP knowledge, and strong leadership across multi-disciplinary teams. Expect involvement in presales, governance forums, and continuous improvement of cloud and FinOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT delivery leadership for large cloud transformation or migration programmes
• Strong knowledge of GCP resource hierarchy, IAM, VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, DNS, logging/monitoring
• Experience with migration patterns: rehost, replatform, refactor
• Ability to govern identity, network segmentation, logging, backup/DR, and regulatory requirements
• Proven capability in RAID management, financial governance, change control, and executive reporting
• Familiar with Jira/Confluence/ADO/Project to track delivery and Gen AI tool usage

Job description

We are seeking a Middle Management Delivery Manager - Google Cloud (GCP) to manage delivery for large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs. You will oversee planning, governance, metrics, and cutover activities while guiding teams through technical and business trade-offs. Submit your application to join the program delivery team today.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end programme delivery across discovery, assessment, landing-zone readiness, wave planning, migration execution, cutover, warranty, and transition to operations with accountability for Project/People/Account Management
• Manage cross-functional and distributed teams and control scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, dependencies, risks, issues, and executive governance while considering Data Privacy, Security, IP & Responsible AI activities
• Review solution architectures and migration strategies and validate application dependency maps, migration waves, security, resilience, performance, operability, and cost assumptions
• Lead migration readiness and technical governance forums such as ARB, WAR etc. and chair Go/No-Go decisions while coordinating cutover, rollback, business validation, warranty, and service acceptance
• Partner with client stakeholders across business, security, infrastructure, application, data, and operations to translate technical constraints into business impacts and decision paths
• Track delivery performance by establishing metrics including migration throughput, schedule variance, defect leakage, cutover success, availability, performance, cloud spend, and benefits realization
• Drive adoption of cloud governance and FinOps practices, including policy, tagging, cost allocation, budget controls, rightsizing, and optimization backlogs
• Support presales, estimates, solution shaping, delivery assurance, account growth, and capability development and coach delivery managers and technical leads
• Use approved enterprise GenAI tools responsibly to improve planning, reporting, risk analysis, knowledge management, and stakeholder communication while protecting data and intellectual property

Requirements

• Significant experience in IT delivery, including 5+ years leading large cloud transformation, application modernization, infrastructure, or migration programmes and managing multiple workstreams with Agile & Hybrid approaches
• Strong knowledge of GCP resource hierarchy (organizations, folders, projects), IAM, VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, Cloud Logging/Monitoring, Cloud KMS, and backup/DR concepts
• Familiarity with common migration strategy patterns such as rehost, replatform, and refactor
• Ability to govern identity, network segmentation, key management, logging, vulnerability remediation, backup/DR, business continuity, and regulatory requirements
• Proven capability in RAID management, financial governance, change control, and executive reporting
• Working knowledge of Jira/Confluence/ADO/Project for tracking delivery and usage of Gen AI tools for Delivery Management
• Understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), containers/Kubernetes (GKE), APIs, integration patterns, and SRE/observability fundamentals
• Comfort facilitating architecture reviews and articulating technical trade-offs, costs, risks, and migration decisions to business and engineering audiences

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Architecture Framework, Cloud Foundation Toolkit, landing-zone/foundation programmes, and Google Cloud migration methodologies
• Google Cloud certification such as Google Cloud Digital Leader, Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, SAFe, ITIL, or equivalent programme-management certifications
