Job summary

MAHLE in India seeks an MSSQL Database Administrator to join a global SQL DB Admin team in Maharashtra. You will own daily operations, performance tuning, and security across hybrid on-prem and cloud environments.

You will steer external IT service providers to meet SLAs, design scalable database solutions, automate via PowerShell and T-SQL, and collaborate with software engineers on database design. English at B2 level is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of MSSQL database administration experience.
• Strong understanding of database structures, management and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in writing queries, stored procedures and functions.
• Experience managing external IT service providers and projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Working in a global Microsoft SQL DB Admin team.


• Steer external IT service provider to deliver the expected service with agreed SLAs.


• Architect, deploy and, manage hybrid environments (cloud-based + On-Prem) in terms of infrastructure management.


• Evaluate new database technologies and shape the future of our database landscape. Be accountable for the daily operations of our MSSQL database systems.


• Implement security policies / measures for MSSQL databases.


• Develop and maintain scripts to automate our On Prem infrastructure using Powershell or T-SQL.


• Consult software engineers on database design, query optimizations and best practices.


• At least 3 years of experience in administration of MSSQL Databases .
