Job summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited in Pune seeks a Microsoft Azure Solution Architect to design and implement scalable Azure-based file services. You will drive Azure Files development, automation, AI integration, and enhanced support, shaping roadmaps and standards.

The role requires 10+ years in Azure architecture with strong cloud, networking and hybrid identity expertise, and collaboration across global teams. Office-based position in Pune with global impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Azure architecture, cloud engineering, or infrastructure design.
• Expertise across Microsoft Azure, Azure Files, Azure Storage, Windows File Services, Windows Server.
• Design hybrid identity solutions with Entra ID, AD DS and Hybrid Cloud architectures.
• Automate infra and ops using PowerShell and IaC tools.
• Strong networking knowledge: DNS, VPN, routing, firewalls, ExpressRoute.
• Broad IT services knowledge with ITIL, ServiceNow and ops processes.
• Excellent English, ownership, delivery, analytical and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable Microsoft Azure solutions for the file service platform.
• Drive strategic development of Azure Files, automation, AI integration, and L2 support.
• Develop features, automated reporting, issue remediation, and service improvements end-to-end.
• Define architecture standards, best practices, and roadmaps for future file services.
• Lead migration and modernization from traditional file services to Azure.
• Integrate Azure services with on-premises AD to support hybrid identity.
• Resolve complex issues, strengthen service operations, and document current/future states.
• Collaborate with Siemens stakeholders, engineering teams, and partners on outcomes.

• Design and implement secure, scalable Microsoft Azure solutions for our global file service platform.
• Drive the strategic development of Azure Files, automation, AI integration, and improved L2 support capabilities.
• Develop new features, automated reporting, issue remediation, and service improvements from concept through implementation.
• Define architecture standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps for future-ready file services.
• Lead migration and modernisation initiatives from traditional file services to Azure.
• Integrate Azure services with on-premises Active Directory to support reliable hybrid identity architectures.
• Resolve complex technical issues, strengthen service operations, and document current and future-state solutions.
• Collaborate with Siemens stakeholders, engineering teams, and external partners to deliver aligned, end-to-end outcomes.

• Bring 10+ years of experience in Azure architecture, cloud engineering, or infrastructure design.
• Apply strong expertise across Microsoft Azure, Azure Files, Azure Storage, Windows File Services, and Windows Server.
• Design hybrid identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory Domain Services, and Hybrid Cloud architectures.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using PowerShell and, ideally, Infrastructure as Code.
• Navigate enterprise networking, including DNS, VPN, routing, firewalls, network segmentation, and ExpressRoute.
• Connect broad IT Services ecosystem knowledge with ITIL, service management, ServiceNow, and operational support processes.
• Demonstrate fluent English, strong ownership, independent delivery, analytical problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
