Job summary

Sembridge is seeking a senior Microsoft 365 security specialist to backfill a departing expert. You will administer security workloads such as Entra ID, CA, Defender for Office 365, Intune, and Purview, while strengthening identity and access hardening across the tenant.

You will monitor security across endpoints using Defender, Entra ID, and Sentinel, handle migration and consolidation projects, and collect audit evidence for compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Microsoft 365 security administration experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Entra ID, CA, Defender for Office 365, Intune, Purview.
• Strong information security fundamentals in Microsoft 365/Azure security environments.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or ISO 27001; tenant-to-tenant migration experience is a plus.

About the Role

This is the second of two roles backfilling a departing senior Microsoft expert who is transitioning into a new internal role.

This position focuses on security configuration within Microsoft 365, including identity, access, endpoint, and compliance controls. The role also carries security monitoring and compliance responsibilities as part of the departing expert's backfill scope.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 security workloads, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Intune, and Purview.
• Support identity and access hardening across the tenant.
• Monitor endpoint and identity security using Microsoft tooling, including Defender, Entra ID, and Sentinel, and respond to alerts.
• Support tenant-to-tenant migration and consolidation, including provisioning for acquired employees and security hardening during the integration.
• Collect and organize audit evidence from delivery systems and support compliance reporting.
• Support vendor risk management reviews and security assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of Microsoft 365 security administration experience; 10 years strongly preferred.
• Deep, demonstrated expertise in Entra ID, Conditional Access, Defender for Office 365, Intune, and Purview, or equivalent Microsoft 365 security tooling.
• Strong information security fundamentals and hands‑on experience in a Microsoft 365 or Azure security environment.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks, with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 experience helpful.
• Tenant-to-tenant migration experience is a plus.
