Job summary

Vantive seeks a Project Manager to provide business and execution leadership for one or more projects, owning the schedule, budget, risks, and coordinating with all functions and levels of management to ensure effective communications.

The role leads teams through initiation, development and implementation, defines milestones to meet launch date commitments and identifies issues and risks to keep programs on track.

Qualifications

• PMI or IPMA certification is required or desired.
• Experience managing project life cycle in a regulated environment (Medical Device).
• Ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for project team performance, schedule, and budget commitments.
• Leads team in defining strategies, goals, and ensuring scope is defined and controlled.
• Interacts with all functions and levels of management to ensure effective communications.
• Identifies and communicates project risks, develops risk plans, and proactively manages risk responses.

Summary

• The Project Manager provides business and execution leadership for one or more projects, holding accountability for project schedule, budget, risks, and interacts with all functions and levels of management ensuring effective communications.
• The Project Manager leads project teams through the identification, justification, prioritization, initiation, development and implementation processes
• The Project Manager leads the project team to define the milestones to achieve the launch date commitments and identify issues and risks associated with those plans

Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities

• Accountable for project team performance, project schedule and execution, budget commitments and spend.
• Leads team in defining project strategies, developing goals, and ensures project scope is defined and controlled.
• Continuously interacts with all functions and levels of management ensuring effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders.
• Ensures identification and communication of project risks, development of risk plan and proactive management of risk response strategies.
• Anticipates potential conflict situations for proactive solutions and manages conflict situations to result in win-win outcomes.
• Leads core team to identify and implement continuous improvement.

• The role thus requires the person to be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, be capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience
• PMI or IPMA or equivalent certification required
• Ability to travel up to 25% of time

Education/Training Requirements

• MBA/MS or Bachelor’s degree
• PMI / PMP Certification (or equivalent) desired.

Experience

• 10 years of product life cycle experience
• 5 years project management experience with demonstrated success leading multi-site projects
• Strong knowledge Medical Device Product Lifecycle (ISO 13485 and FDA QS Regulation 21 CFR Part 820)
