TE Connectivity is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive end-to-end product development for automotive high voltage components. You will coordinate VOC, design, prototyping, validation and production readiness while aligning with global centers to deliver value and reliability.

You will collaborate across functions, manage cross‑functional teams, and influence product strategy through data‑driven decisions and rigorous technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Good teamwork and willing to contribute to the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete product development life cycle for HV connectors, terminals, relays, charge inlets and high voltage cable assemblies for automotive applications.
• Expand the product portfolio in key strategic areas through new technologies.
• Interface with customers to develop specifications and refine technical requirements.
• Foster a deep understanding of market needs by connecting product and application engineering teams.
• Collaborate with TE Global centers to introduce breakthrough technologies and improve margins.
• Travel to customer sites for VOC collection, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Lead design reviews and pre-validation assessments to ensure compliant engineering processes.

Job Overview

Contributes to the development of organizational strategy, and supports in implementation of operational plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and manage the complete product development life cycle (from voice of customer, ideation, Design Conceptualization, Creation of product specifications, 3D designs, Prototyping, Serial tool build, Product testing, Product qualification, Project Execution Sustenance till product end of life) HV Connectors Terminals, HV relays, Charge Inlets and high voltage cable assemblies for automotive applications
• Identify and execute on expanding our product portfolio in key strategic areas through new technologies.
• Interfaces with customers in the development of specifications and technical refinements, which can be used to direct the development of new products or improvements to existing product.
• Build a deep understanding of market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the product engineering team and application engineering team.
• Introduce breakthrough technologies by partnering technically with our customers and with our TE Global competency centers to enhance business revenue growth. Apply engineering best practice to reduce cost and sustain exiting products to meet customers cost targets.
• Travel to customer sites, gather VOC, perform testing, and/or perform troubleshooting activities.
• Performing design reviews and pre-validation assessments to ensure the safe and environmentally sound processes and designs
• Lead technical discussion and decision making with cross functional team
• To be a team member with the rest of the Functional and Operational Areas to assure the Campus Objectives
• Implement and execute plans for the VA/VE (Engineered Savings) team to gather highest level of gross margin improvements and monitoring the results.
• Supervise and balance the allocation of work across functional leads; review and provide performance feedback; mentor, develop and motivate them; oversee the implementation of talent development program at the engineering centers for all employees; recruit, motivate, reward and address employee grievances in order to achieve performance and retain talent

Education and Knowledge

• Bachelors or masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Fluent in English, both oral and Witten.
• Good teamwork and willing to make contribution to team

Critical Experience

• Minimum 16 years of hands‑on experience
• Possess a working knowledge of:
  • Connector Engineering fundamentals.
  • Basic electrical fundamentals and vehicle architecture
  • Connector stamping, plating, molding, and assembly manufacturing processes.
• Ability to solve problems in a methodical, logical, and disciplined manner.
• Understanding of resins, metals and processing costs to recommend substitutions and improve margins.
• Ability to coordinate activities with various Functions while balancing Customer requirements and timing with project budget.
• Good Experience in Product validation and testing (DV / PV) of automotive products
