Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Bengaluru seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead quality initiatives across manufacturing and product processes, driving adherence to customer requirements, quality standards, and operational excellence.

The role collaborates with engineering, operations and suppliers to implement 8D and Six Sigma, manage FAI/PPAP, and guide teams toward defect prevention and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree as a minimum requirement for the role.
  • Experience with quality standards and manufacturing processes is essential.
  • Proven experience in leading quality initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality processes for new product introduction and manufacturing readiness.
  • Ensure alignment with customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable quality processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers.
  • Lead root cause analysis and CAPA using 8D and Six Sigma.
  • Oversee FAI, PPAP, PSW, and other product approvals.
  • Conduct audits and implement improvements.
  • Ensure smooth transition from project to operations.
  • Guide team to achieve quality objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership to prevent defects and protect customer quality.

Job Description:

Job Overview
The Quality Supervisor will lead quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and product processes. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to customer requirements, quality standards, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality processes for new product introduction, validation, and manufacturing readiness
  • Ensure alignment with customer-specific requirements and quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Capture and translate customer requirements into actionable quality processes
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using 8D and Six Sigma
  • Oversee FAI, PPAP, PSW, and other product approval processes before production release
  • Conduct audits and quality assessments and implement necessary improvements
  • Ensure smooth transition from project phase to operations
  • Support and guide team members to achieve quality objectives
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Take ownership to prevent defects and protect customer quality
Candidate Desired Profiles:

Education

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)

Experience

  • 13+ years in Production / Plant Quality

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools such as Six Sigma, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP
  • Knowledge of standards like IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong customer focus and improvement mindset
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt is an added advantage
What your background should look like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level.
