Carnera Technologies is seeking a MERN Stack Developer (Backend Heavy) in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes building scalable web apps and APIs with strong Node.js and React.js foundations, plus AWS-based DevOps and observability practices.

You will work hybrid in Bengaluru and collaborate with teams across APAC, EMEA, and the US to deliver resilient cloud-native solutions with a focus on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building React.js frontends with RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing scalable microservices and data stores.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on with AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with observability tools for monitoring and tracing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop O2Ps platform (web app and APIs).
• Contribute to DevOps for scalable, secure AWS apps (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS).
• Evaluate and adopt technology to build the O2P platform.
• Apply strong Quality and DevOps practices for maintainable solutions.
• Ensure solutions are pragmatic, resilient, and consider upstream/downstream impacts.
• Focus on Unit Testing to meet Forge pillars across engineering, deployment, and reliability.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate use cases into requirements.
• Support production and monitor product health.
• Mentor team members across APAC, EMEA, US.

Experience: 3+ years of overall experience

Primary Skills (Must-Have): React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, REST APIs, Microservices, SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MSSQL/RDS/Aurora), NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra/DynamoDB), CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab/CodePipeline/CodeBuild), Observability (CloudWatch/Datadog/Splunk/Dynatrace/Prometheus/Grafana), AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, API Gateway, Step Functions)

Secondary Skills (Good-to-Have): Python

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop O2Ps platform (consisting of a web application and APIs)
• Contribute to the DevOps functions of scalable, secure & cost‑effective customer‑facing web and software applications in the AWS cloud (Lambda, ECS containers, API Gateway, RDS)
• Proactively work to evaluate and adopt technology solutions to build the O2P platform.
• Use strong Quality and DevOps practices to build maintainable and extensible solutions.
• The solutions you help build are pragmatic and resilient, and consider upstream and downstream process and system impacts.
• You are strongly invested in Unit Testing Work to meet Autodesk's Built with Forge pillars that encompass Engineering Excellence, Build and Deploy, Operational Excellence, and Recoverability & Reliability areas
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand the use cases that fuel the business and translate them into functional and non‑functional requirements
• Support the products you build in Production
• Mentor and work with team members spread in APAC, EMEA and the US

Minimum Qualifications:

• Consistent with the role, have strong architectural skills and the ability to design scalable, available, resilient and cost‑effective applications in the cloud (preferably AWS).
• The candidate should have the ability to pick out the right tech stack and tools for the problem to be solved.
• Strong technical expertise in building RESTful microservices using Node.js with an appropriate data store suited to the problem at hand (should be comfortable with both Relational and NoSQL databases)
• Technical expertise in building API and UI.
• Good knowledge of API security and data encryption
• Strong DevOps and Quality mindset with design and implementation experience in the areas of CI/CD, observability, and Test automation
