Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an experienced frontend engineer in Pune to build scalable web interfaces for polyglot backends and AI/ML models. You will work with MERN stack for enterprise applications, design micro frontend architectures, and collaborate on API integrations.

Strong debugging, testing, and DevOps practices are essential. The role emphasizes building robust, responsive UIs, implementing REST/JSON APIs, and contributing to system integration efforts while following AGILE methodologies.

Qualifications

• Expertise of building front-end web interfaces for polyglot backends built on pre-trained or fine-tuned AI/ML models (e.g., OpenAI etc.)
• Experience of working with AWS Cloud APIs and DevOps deployment and EKS, deploying applications
• Proficiency with microformats, micro frontend
• Experience in designing web applications using micro frontend architecture, create design documents and data flow
• Experience in Microservices and monorepo
• Development experience of frontends / UI/UX layers for MERN stack for enterprise application.
• Hands-on technical implementation level knowledge and experience in MySQL, Postgres, Marklogic, MongoDB, and other databases
• Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
• Expertise in creating automated unit test cases and using Github copilot/ OpenAI to reduce development time
• Expert in debugging and problem solving.
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Stylus, Less, etc.
• Expertise in REST/JSON API’s Design code for high scale/availability/resiliency
• Develop responsive and progressive web apps and integrate APIs using Python / NodeJS
• Develop System Integration and platform integration
• Strong business and technology decision making skills are required
• Define and ensure team's deliveries adhere to non-functional requirements and schedule. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design
• Experience working with integration/API patterns. Designing microservices architecture
• DevOps and DevSecOps experience
• Experience with Agile Methodology, Design thinking, working with ambiguity, find own path
• Always ready to learn, work on self-development and team's capability development
• Good to have : Python
• Good to have : Rapid front-end / UI/UX prototyping / wireframing using several open-source and proprietary tools e.g. Figma, Axure, Adobe XD etc.
• Domain knowledge of Life sciences: Pharma R&D is desirable
