Job summary

Paytm is seeking a detail-oriented Merchant Operations professional in India to manage merchant documentation, onboarding, and banking coordination.

You will liaise with Business/Sales and banks to obtain required codes and activate merchant accounts, while tracking documentation and MIS for timely closure.

Graduation is mandatory. Strong Excel skills and stakeholder management are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end merchant documentation and onboarding processes.

• Track pending documentation, bank codes, and onboarding cases to ensure closure within TAT.

About the Team

The Merchant Operations team manages critical backend processes related to merchant onboarding, documentation, banking coordination, and payment gateway activation. The team works closely with Business, Banking, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely merchant onboarding.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage merchant documentation, coordinate with Business teams, and work with banking partners to facilitate PG code generation and merchant activation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end merchant documentation and onboarding processes.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in merchant onboarding, KYC/documentation, banking coordination, or payment operations Banking Operations, Backend Operations, Merchant Operations, Payment Gateway Operations, or Fintech preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MIS.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Education

Graduation mandatory.
