Job summary

Eastman Exports Global Clothing Pvt. Ltd. in Tirupur is seeking a dynamic Merchandiser to bridge marketing, product development, and supply chain for knitwear apparel.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of garment merchandising experience, with a focus on knitwear.
• Degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Technology, or Apparel Production (NIFT preferred).
• Knowledge of knit production processes, fabrics, trims, and garment construction.
• Strong negotiation and client/vendor communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product sourcing, sample development, trims follow-up, pricing, and range planning from concept to execution.
• Maintain relationships with fabric suppliers and trim vendors; negotiate terms and ensure timely deliveries.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Logistics to ensure on-time garment delivery.
• Monitor global knitwear trends, competitor movements, and buyer preferences to identify revenue growth opportunities.
• Support marketing strategies, prepare buyer presentations, and participate in trade shows/customer meetings.
• Prepare detailed sales reports, order status updates, and costings for management.

About the Role

Eastman Exports is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our core team. In this role, you will bridge marketing, product development, and supply chain operations—driving product sourcing, sample execution, vendor communications, and timeline management for knitwear apparel.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandising & Sourcing: Coordinate product sourcing, sample development, trims follow-up, pricing, and range planning from concept to execution.
• Vendor & Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers and trim vendors; negotiate terms and ensure timely deliveries.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless execution and on-time garment delivery.
• Market & Trend Analysis: Monitor global knitwear trends, competitor movements, and buyer preferences to identify revenue growth opportunities.
• Marketing Alignment: Support marketing strategies, prepare buyer presentations, and participate in trade shows/customer meetings.
• Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare detailed sales reports, order status updates, and costings for management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Technology, or Apparel Production (NIFT or equivalent preferred).
• Experience: 3 to 7 years in garment merchandising, specifically focusing on Knitwear (knowledge of woven fabrics is a plus).
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of knit production processes, fabric properties, trim tracking, and garment construction.
• Communication: Strong negotiation skills and fluency in client and vendor communications.
• Tools: Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and industry ERP systems.
