Overview

Merchandise Manager role at Best Price Flipkart Wholesale in Hyderabad. This posting requests 8-10 years of merchandising experience in the FMCG sector and is based in or open to relocating to Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

• Effective Merchandising and Pricing – Handling the Non-Food & Food part of the store which includes more than 6500 SKUs across categories such as Electronics/Appliances, Stationery/IT, Furniture, Apparels, Home Textiles, Footwear & Luggage, Housewares (Plastic/Glass/Steel) & Disposables & FMCG Non-Food (Home/Personal & Baby Care) & Food, Processed Food & Staples.
• Monitoring critical KPIs – Stock/shelf availability (Top 1000 items) and Vendor service levels.
• Managing documentation of stock receipts and controlling stock damages, shrinkages; coordinating with vendors for stock returns.
• Driving superior customer service standards at checkout with smooth billing and faster checkout.
• Freebie management and adherence to payout processes for day-to-day expenses.
• Documentation of necessary records for external audits and coordination with third-party cash pickup teams.
• Tracking P&L monthly with focus on initiatives to improve sales, margins and controllable costs.
• Improving cost and operational efficacy for the store; evaluating current policies and procedures to minimize cost (EDLC concept).
• Analyzing ageing stock and planning liquidation; generating additional income for the store (e.g., scrape sale or space selling).
• Building strong relationships with local and Government Officials; ensuring smooth functioning of in-store facilities (electricity, DG sets, STP, RO plant, freezers and chillers).
• Managing housekeeping and loaders schedules, roistering and timely payouts; coordinating repairs and maintenance and pest management; ensuring required licenses are in place.
• Driving multitasking skills; able to work in any section when needed; managing direct reports and delegating against deadlines and quality measures.
• Demonstrating highest standards of integrity and ethics; training and development of associates.
