Amara Raja Group is seeking an experienced MEP QS & Billing Engineer for Data Center Projects in Navi Mumbai. You will handle quantity surveying, billing, cost control, and contract administration across HVAC, electrical, ELV, and plumbing systems.

The role requires coordination with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate measurement, billing, and commercial compliance through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• MEP QS technical knowledge for data centers and commercial buildings.
• Experience in quantity surveying, billing, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with BIM-based quantity extraction is a plus.

Job Description MEP QS & Billing Engineer (Data Center Projects)

Position: MEP QS & Billing Engineer
Location: Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated MEP QS & Billing Engineer for our Data Center Projects in Navi Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for quantity surveying, billing, cost control, contract administration, and commercial management of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, and HVAC systems. The role requires close coordination with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate measurement, billing, and commercial compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models for MEP services.
• Verify site measurements and maintain measurement records.
• Review BOQs and identify quantity variations.
• Track material consumption and monitor project costs.
• Conduct quantity reconciliation against approved drawings and executed work.

Billing & Commercial Management

• Prepare Client RA Bills (Running Account Bills) and Final Bills.
• Prepare and certify subcontractor and vendor bills.
• Ensure timely submission and follow-up of invoices for certification and payment.
• Reconcile billed quantities with executed quantities and contract BOQ.
• Prepare billing forecasts and cash flow projections.

Cost Control & Contracts

• Monitor project budgets and cost performance.
• Prepare variation claims, change orders, and extra item proposals.
• Conduct rate analysis for non-BOQ and additional works.
• Review contract terms and ensure commercial compliance.
• Assist in claim management and contract administration activities.

Data Center MEP Coordination

• Coordinate commercial activities related to HVAC systems, Chillers, CRAC Units, Electrical Systems, UPS, DG Sets, Fire Fighting Systems, ELV Systems, and Plumbing Services.
• Support project teams in evaluating cost impacts of design and scope changes.
• Maintain records of approved drawings, measurements, and billing documentation.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings regarding commercial matters.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports.
• Generate quantity reconciliation reports and billing status reports.
• Maintain all commercial records, measurements, approvals, and supporting documents.
• Support internal and external audits.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Quantity Surveying certification will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 4-8 years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying and Billing.
• Experience in Data Center, Mission Critical Facilities, Commercial Buildings, Industrial Projects, or High-Rise Projects preferred.
• Strong experience in handling HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and ELV billing activities.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems used in Data Centers.
• Expertise in Quantity Take-Offs, Cost Estimation, and Billing Processes.
• Knowledge of FIDIC and construction contract management principles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP/SAP systems.
• Experience with BIM-based quantity extraction is preferred.
• Understanding of project costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
