POST A RESUME HR Consultancy is looking for a Melting Operations Supervisor based in Sanand, Ahmedabad. The role involves managing melting and furnace operations, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc. in Chemistry or a degree in Metallurgy, combined with 5-7 years of industry experience. Key responsibilities include overseeing production performance and coordinating with various departments to meet targets.

Qualifications

• 5 – 7 years of experience in melting operations in manufacturing/foundry industry.
• Industry preference: Foundry / Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day melting and furnace operations.
• Monitor melting temperature, chemical composition, and metal quality.
• Ensure proper charging of raw materials, scrap, alloys, and additives.
• Coordinate with production and quality departments to achieve production targets.
• Maintain records of heat numbers, production data, and chemical test reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Reduce melting losses and improve furnace efficiency.
• Handle manpower planning and shift management.
• Monitor refractory condition and furnace maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices in the melting area.
• Support troubleshooting during process deviations or equipment breakdowns.

Skills

Knowledge of melting processes and furnace operations

Understanding of metallurgy and chemical composition control

Familiarity with spectrometer testing and quality standards

Good leadership and team handling skills

Ability to work in shifts and under production pressure

Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation
