Job description

  • · Coordinate the development of the route plan for the MMU
  • · Provide preventive, promotive and curative health care and referral services to patients during MMU-OPDs and thematic health camps
  • · Document and maintain health records of patients as per project requirements
  • · Utilize, supervise and manage stock of medicines, healthcare products and reagents for regular MMU services and thematic health camps
  • · Supervise safe disposal of biomedical wastes
  • · Liaise and interact with other medical and non-medical staff, govt. health department officials and community members, and create and maintain a positive image of the organisation and donor for the services delivered
  • · Network with other medical professionals/ specialists for special camps/activities
  • · Encourage health literacy amongst the target audience
  • · Supervise the functions and quality of services of the MMU technical team
  • · Provide regular need-based technical training to the MMU team

Medical Officer should have a professional degree (MBBS), registered with Medical Council of India, with a minimum of 03 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct OPD consultations and medical examinations.
  • Diagnose illnesses and prescribe appropriate treatment.
  • Provide maternal, child health, and geriatric healthcare services.
  • Refer critical cases to higher healthcare facilities when required.
  • Support health screening camps and awareness programs.

  • Ensure proper utilisation of medicines and medical equipment available in the MMU.
