Job summary

Hlfppt is seeking a Medical Officer to support MMU-based outreach across local communities. The role requires MBBS and MCI registration with strong public health skills to deliver preventive, promotive and curative care during OPDs and thematic health camps.

You will manage patient records, supervise stock, and liaise with government officials and community members while guiding a MMU team and delivering targeted health literacy initiatives.

Qualifications

• MBBS degree and MCI registration.
• 1 year of experience or a retired MBBS doctor.
• Strong public health care skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of route plan for the MMU.
• Provide preventive, promotive and curative health care and referral services to patients during MMU-OPDs and camps.
• Document and maintain health records of patients as per project requirement.
• Utilize, supervise and manage stock of medicines and health care products for MMU services.
• Supervise safe disposal of biomedical wastes.
• Liaise with govt health officials and community members to maintain a positive image for the organization.
• Network with medical professionals for special camps and activities.
• Encourage health literacy amongst the target audience.
• Supervise functions and quality of MMU technical team.
• Provide regular need-based technical training to MMU team.

Responsibilities

• Utilize, supervise and manage stock of medicines, healthcare products and reagents for regular MMU services and thematic health camps
• Supervise safe disposal of biomedical wastes
• Liaise and interact with other medical, non-medical staff, govt. health department officials and community members and create and maintain positive image of the organization and donor for the services delivered
• Network with other medical professionals/ specialists for special camps/activities
• Encourage health literacy amongst the target audience
• Supervise functions and quality of services of the MMU technical team
• Provide regular need-based technical training to MMU team

Candidate Profile

Medical Officer should have a professional degree (MBBS), registered with Medical Council of India, with a minimum of 01 year of experience (or a retired active MBBS doctor) with strong public health care skills.
