Job summary

Hlfppt is seeking a Medical Officer to provide comprehensive healthcare services, manage MMU OPDs, and supervise clinical staff. The role requires MBBS with MCI registration and at least 3 years of experience.

The candidate will handle dispensing, drug safety, patient counseling, and coordination with nursing staff during health camps and field visits.

Qualifications

• MBBS degree with valid registration and license to practice.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of generic and branded medicines, dosage calculations, and drug safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health service delivery for MMU OPDs and health camps.
• Maintain accurate patient records and stock registers for medicines.
• Supervise inventory, cold chain (if applicable) and disposal of biomedical waste.
• Counsel patients on dosage, precautions and adverse effects; liaise with medical team.

• · Coordinate development of route plan for the MMU
• · Provide preventive, promotive and curative health care and referral services to patients during MMU-OPDs and thematic health camps
• · Document and maintain health records of patients as per project requirement
• · Utilize, supervise and manage stock of medicines, healthcare products and reagents for regular MMU services and thematic health camps
• · Supervise safe disposal of biomedical wastes
• · Liaise and interact with other medical, non-medical staff, govt. health department officials and community members and create and maintain positive image of the organization and donor for the services delivered
• · Network with other medical professionals/ specialists for special camps/activities
• · Encourage health literacy amongst the target audience
• · Supervise functions and quality of services of the MMU technical team
• · Provide regular need-based technical training to MMU team

Medical Officer should have a professional degree MBBS, registered with Medical Council of India, with a minimum of 03 years of experience

Clinical & Technical Skills
