Job Description

The Medical Officer will be responsible for patient assessment, ward and emergency care, clinical monitoring, consultant coordination, treatment support, and medical documentation at Shashwat Hospitals, Jamnagar. This requires MBBS, BHMS, or BAMS qualification with 1–3 years of hospital clinical experience. There are 2 vacancies for this position.

• Attend OPD, IPD, emergency, ward, ICU, and assigned clinical patients during duty hours.
• Take patient history, conduct clinical examination, and support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Monitor patient vitals, investigation reports, treatment response, symptoms, and clinical progress.
• Maintain case sheets, progress notes, prescriptions, discharge summaries, and handover records.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, ICU, OT, and billing teams.
• Respond to emergency calls and elevate critical patients promptly.
• Review lab and imaging reports and inform seniors about abnormal findings.
• Support admission, discharge, patient movement, and referral coordination.
• Counsel patients and attendants under consultant guidance.
• Follow hospital clinical protocols, infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards.
• Deliver safe, timely, and professional medical care support.
