Job summary

Logixhealth is seeking detail-oriented Medical Coders with 1-3 years of US Healthcare ED coding experience to join our Bangalore/Coimbatore team. You will review records, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, and apply ED E/M guidelines to ensure accurate billing.

Candidates should possess strong medical terminology and anatomy knowledge, and be prepared for rotational or night shifts as required. HIPAA compliance and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of US Healthcare Medical Coding experience.
• Hands-on ED coding experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS.
• Understanding of ED E/M coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze Emergency Department medical records, physician documentation, and clinical reports.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documented diagnoses, procedures, and services.
• Apply appropriate ED-specific coding guidelines and evaluation and management (E/M) coding principles.
• Ensure coding accuracy, productivity, and compliance with established quality standards.
• Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and potential coding discrepancies.
• Follow official coding guidelines, client-specific instructions, and regulatory requirements.
• Meet daily productivity and quality targets within defined turnaround times.
• Incorporate audit feedback and continuously improve coding accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA requirements.
