Job summary

VARITE India Private Limited is seeking a Mechanical Piping Designer in Vadodara to design and model piping systems for FMCG, chemical, and petrochemical plants. You will prepare layouts, isometrics, and BOQs from 3D models, ensuring adherence to ASME and hygienic standards.

The role requires expertise in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, NavisWorks, and Revit 3D, with collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver accurate drawings and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical piping design across FMCG, chemical, or petrochemical sectors.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and isometric drawings.
• Knowledge of ASME/Piping codes and hygienic standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare piping layouts, isometrics, and BOQs from 3D models.
• Model equipment, piping, ducts, and supports in 3D.
• Check drawings, perform clash checks, and ensure conformance to standards.
• Develop Navis files and extract reports from 3D models.
• Collaborate with project teams and maintain design documentation.

• Prepared piping layouts, piping support drawings, and isometric drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
• Developed 3D models of equipment, piping, ducts, cable trays, civil, and structural elements using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Modeled piping supports according to applicable piping support standards.
• Extracted piping layouts, piping isometrics, and piping BOQs from 3D models.
• Performed annotation work in AutoCAD 2D for piping layouts and isometric drawings.
• Checked piping isometric drawings in AutoCAD using P&ID and 3D models.
• Created Navis files from 3D models.
• Extracted and reviewed clash check reports from 3D models.
• Developed and checked piping layouts and piping supports.
• Prepared and checked piping isometric drawings.
• Performed 3D modeling using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Prepared Piping BOQs from 3D models.
• Applied ASME codes, piping codes and standards, hygienic standards, EHEDG, and 3A standards in piping design activities.
• Worked on piping design for FMCG, chemical, and petrochemical industries.
• Supported design activities for Personal Care, Home Care, Food, Ice Cream, and Beverage plants.
• Collaborated with project teams and maintained effective communication during design and modeling activities.
