Job summary

Visteon Corporation is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage a global cross-functional team. You will drive accountability, deliver high-quality cockpit electronics products, and interface with customers to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires deep experience in automotive displays and infotainment, strong CAD/CAE skills, and a track record of leading large teams in regional or international settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of engineering experience in regional/global environments.
• 5+ years of Engineering team management with proven leadership.
• Experience in Automotive product development (Displays, Infotainment, Cockpit Electronics, Electrification).
• Hands-on CAD tools experience.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes for automotive products.
• Experience in product DVP and CAE/testing domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team to drive accountability, quality, efficiency and people growth.
• Allocate resources to projects and report team performance to management.
• Ensure deliverables quality and provide guidance via cross-functional resources.
• Interface between engineering and customer; provide technical support to the team.

Key Objectives of this Role:

• Manage his/her team to drive accountability, design quality mindset, efficiency and people development.
• Assign resources from his/her team to each project under his/her responsibilities.
• Make relevant reporting of his/her team to the management.
• Ensure quality of deliverables from his/her team.
• Provide guidance and support to his/her team through organizational and cross-functional resources.
• Conduct weekly call
• Interface between engineering team and Customer
• Technical support to engineering team

• BOM compliance
• Engineering budget compliance
• Process Quality compliance
• Deliverables Say/Do ratio
• Top talents attrition ratio

Key Year One Deliverables:

• Team development roadmap based on competencies assessment
• KPI for Process Quality compliance above engineering target

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's /Master’s degree in the Mechanical engineering field.
• 15+ years of relevant engineering experience preferably in regional or global environment.
• 5+ years of Engineering team management experience with proven Leadership.
• Experience in Automotive products development, preferably in Displays, Infotainment, Cockpit Electronic products, Electrification vehicles products.
• Hands on experience CAD tools
• Exposure in manufacturing process for above mentioned automotive products
• Experience in product DVP
• Exposure in structural and thermal simulation
• Exposure to CAE and testing domains.
• Proven supervisory and technical skills.
• Exposure to Global Culture/Customer is added advantage.
• Experience in VAVE is added advantage.
