Job summary

Synergytech Automation is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to swiftly assemble and fault-find on mechanical equipment, including sewage fixtures and material handling systems. The role is hands-on and requires strict safety and housekeeping practices.

The candidate must have ITI or diploma, be able to follow assembly procedures in line with engineering standards, and perform pneumatic assembly. You will supervise shop-floor personnel and help control consumables while maintaining standard work

Qualifications

  • ITI / diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • Able to assemble and fault-find mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fault-find mechanical equipment including sewage fixtures and material handling systems.
  • Lead with safe working practices to ensure zero lost time injuries in the workshop.
  • Supervise personnel while working hands-on to meet required standards.
  • Ensure standard work practices and procedures are followed.
  • Attend safety meetings and carry out safety observations.
  • Assist in controlling consumables and tooling usage to minimise wastage.
  • Assist in reviewing daily timesheets from shop floor personnel.
  • Ensure Corporate Engineering Standards are met.

Qualification
  • ITI / diploma or equivalent qualification required.
Responsibilities
  1. Be able to swiftly and comprehensively assemble and fault-find, rectify problems on mechanical equipment including sewage Fixtures and Material Handling Systems, conveyor systems.
  2. Take the lead with safe working practices to ensure superior levels of safety and housekeeping are obtained - achieve zero lost time injuries in workshop.
  3. Supervise personnel, while working hands on to execute assigned work to required standards.
  4. Ensure standard work practices and procedures are followed.
  5. Attend safety meetings and carry out Safety Observations.
  6. Assist in the control of consumable and tooling usage to minimise wastage.
  7. Assist in the review of daily timesheets from shop floor personnel on a daily basis.
  8. Ensure Corporate Engineering Standards are met.
Key Skill
  1. Mechanical fitter should know about the assembly procedure.
