Tata Consulting Engineers Limited invites a seasoned Mechanical Equipment Manager to lead the mechanical equipment function for large-scale industrial projects. The role requires deep expertise in equipment reliability, lifecycle management, and multidisciplinary coordination across project execution and operations.

You will oversee installation, commissioning, turnaround planning, and maintenance, review technical specs and procurement packages, mentor teams, and drive safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in large-scale industrial projects.
• Experience in Petrochemical, Chemical, Refinery, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, Power, or Process Industries.
• Ability to lead mechanical equipment function for project execution and operations.
• Experience reviewing technical specifications, engineering deliverables, and procurement packages.
• Vendor management and contractor performance review experience.

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience

Industry Background

• Candidates must have experience in large-scale Industrial Projects, Petrochemical, Chemical, Refinery, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, Power, or Process Industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Equipment function for project execution and operational support.
• Develop strategies for equipment reliability, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Manage installation, commissioning, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities.
• Review and approve technical specifications, engineering deliverables, and equipment procurement packages.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
• Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence across all mechanical activities.
• Lead vendor management, contractor performance reviews, and technical discussions.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams while ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices.

• Static Equipment: Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Towers, Tanks, Boilers
• Rotary Equipment: Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Turbines, Gearboxes
• Knowledge of Mechanical Design Standards and Industry Codes
• Equipment Inspection, Reliability & Maintenance Management
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Analysis
• Turnaround/Shutdown Planning and Execution
• Vendor Coordination and Technical Evaluation
• Familiarity with SAP PM, CMMS, or other Maintenance Management Systems
