Job summary

Job Title - Mechanical Engineering Intern (NPD)

Duration - 6 Months

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute product design validation plan for components, submodules, and product.
• Develop testing jigs, fixtures, and requirements; manage manufacturing, assembly, and validation activities.
• Perform accelerated and endurance life tests at module and product levels.
• Execute IQC/FAI for parts and conduct quality assessments.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on prototype and serial product malfunctions.
• Develop test plans, procedures, work instructions, and test bench designs.
• Interpret testing and quality standards; manage lab equipment.
• Coordinate with testing labs, quality, and certification engineers on test methodology and reports.
• Analyze data quantitatively and qualitatively; perform statistical analysis.
• Support validation of plastic, metal, rubber components and understand rapid prototyping methods.
• Apply knowledge of motor‑sensor, actuator, PCB, and motor control systems in testing.
• Ensure compliance with FMEA, FTA, RCCA, and stress testing protocols.
• Assist in thermal analysis, stress testing, vibration testing, and reliability product life testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 0–1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of plastic, metal, rubber manufactured parts, IQC, FAI, and part evaluation.
• Understanding of 3D printing, rapid prototyping methods, manufacturing, testing, and assembly.
• Familiarity with motor‑sensor systems, actuators, and testing.
• Basic understanding of robotics and control systems.
• Experience with product reliability testing, accelerated life testing, and thermal test procedures.
• Experience as a testing engineer or similar role is a plus.
