Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Bengaluru is seeking a Mechanical Engineer PHE to manage international projects within the Global Delivery Services Centre. You will lead design for PHE services—water, drainage, sanitary and stormwater—while coordinating with M&E, architectural and structural teams to deliver integrated solutions.

The role requires 7–9 years in Public Health Engineering with a strong BIM capability (Revit, AutoCAD) and experience across residential, commercial and transportation sectors.

Qualifications

Bachelor level qualification in Mechanical/Civil or Envir/Public Health Eng.
7–9 years of experience in Public Health Engineering/Plumbing design.
Experience in buildings like residential, commercial, hotels, hospitals, airports or sports venues.
Knowledge of internal and external water supply, sewerage and drainage design.
Familiarity with local authority codes and international standards; Revit BIM modelling required.

Responsibilities

Plan and design building services PH (water, drainage, sanitary, stormwater) and coordinate with M&E, structure and architecture.
Lead a team of technicians/modellers and ensure on-time deliverables.
Prepare design calculations and mark-ups; ensure outputs meet quality standards.
Coordinate with BIM team to resolve clashes and ensure integration across disciplines.
Share knowledge and mentor junior staff.

Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer PHE to manage projects for global markets.

Key Deliverables:

Bein chargefor planning and design of all building services elements of the PHE(water, drainage/(Sanitary& Rain/Stormwater)andcoordination withother Mechanical & Electrical services (M&E) ,Structureand Architecture.
Beinchargeforconcept designincluding Space proofingbased on evaluationforvarious optionsin coordination with architectural, structural input andin accordance withinitialload/Demand estimates.
Design Calculation knowledge basedonrelevant BSStds& Codes,CIBSEGuide G,IOP,IPC,UPCKnowledgeonMiddleEaststds& local regulations likeDM/ADM& DEWAis added advantage.
Ensure all design work is carried outin accordance withCompany’squality standard procedures.
Ensure checking of all design outputs of PHModellersand seamless coordination between other sections/disciplinesand with BIM team for clash resolution
Ensure the completeness of design deliverables within time limits
Knowledge on Digital Automation of PH is added advantage
Share knowledge and experience to coach and develop juniorstaffs.

Key Capabilities:

Candidate should be B.E./B.Techin Mechanical/Civil - Environment /Public Health Engineering discipline.
Have 7 to 9years of experience in Public Health Engineering/Plumbingdesign and knowledge on inter-disciplinesand clash resolutions.
Have experience inResidential,Commercial,highrisebuildings,shoppingmalls,hotels,hospitals,Sportsbuildings,Gym ,RecreationalClub,Theme parks,Airport ,Metroprojects,Defencebuildingsetc.,
Have experience in design of internal&external water supply,sewerageand drainage (Storm water/Ran Waterand surface water),
Knowledge on irrigation distribution network is added advantage & not mandatory
Knowledge onrelevant BSStandards&Codesof PHE- Plumbing & Sanitary DrainageCodes must.
Familiarity with local authority codes and regulations such as of local Municipality, water authority, drainage and sewerage department, environmental authority etc., of countries in which the candidate has job experience.UK/British region(mostly preferred),Ifcandidate hasMiddle East& otherANZ(Australia &Newzealand)regionsexp.as well,also shall be an added advantageand not mandatory.
Good knowledge of relevant international codes and regulations.
Knowledge in sustainable, green building design practices and rating guidelines is added advantage & not mandatory
Handle design independentlywith minimal supervisionand lead a team of technicians/modellers.
Have good oral and written communication skills and liaise with clients directly.
Should be capable ofhandling PH Services -Water, Sanitary & Storm waterdrainage design independently which includes preparation of designcalculations,preparingEngg design mark-ups & execute the project work down the line
Experience in relevant design software such as Auto CAD,REVIT,Navisworksand IT Literacyis mandatory & able towork independently in BIM modelling -Revit is Mandatory.
Knowledge inACC & BIM 360 Workflows as well Mandatory & essential
