Job summary

Axium Global's Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai, is seeking a senior HVAC engineer to lead the design of HVAC systems across concept to tender documentation. The role requires coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers and communicating with clients on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HVAC design experience, a BE/BTech/ME/MTech in mechanical engineering, and knowledge of ASHRAE/SMACNA standards.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in designing HVAC systems.
• Experience designing HVAC for commercial, residential, retail projects.
• Knowledge of international codes like ASHRAE, SMACNA.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall HVAC design across concept, scheme, and tender documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with current codes and practices.
• Regularly communicate with clients and mentor junior engineers.
• Be prepared to learn new software and take deadlines seriously.
• Possibly lead a small team reporting to you.

Job Description

Thisposition involves working within the MEP Design &Engineering Team at Axium Global's Delivery Centre in Andheri,Mumbai. The team consists of skilled professionals, includingmechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers with variedexperience. The senior engineer would require taking on aleadership role with the potential of growing a team reportingto them.

KeyRoles and Responsibilities:

• Responsibilityfor the overall design of HVAC systems & deliverables,including Concept, Scheme, Design Development, Tender Design/ Documentation (including Technical Specification, BOQ,Schedules and Drawings)
• Designto current legislation and codes of practice
• Independentlycommunicate with clients on a regular basis
• Mentorand assist Junior engineers
• Preparedto undergo training in learning new software if needed
• Opento work odd hours if required to meet deadlines
• Willingnessto accept and implement constructive feedback
• Regularcommunication with the client and taking on designresponsibilities on project types like commercial,residential, retail, laboratories & hospitals
• Understandingcodes & standards local to project location andutilizing the latest & industry leading software
• Totake on a leadership role with the potential of growing ateam reporting to them

Qualification and Experience Required:

• BE/BTech/ME/MTechdegree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
• 5+years of experience in designing of HVAC systems
• Experiencein design of HVAC systems for commercial, residential,retail projects
• Ideally,should have experience of sustainability-based projects
• Goodunderstating & knowledge of international codes likeASHRAE, SMACNA
• GoodIT skills comprising Microsoft Office, HVAC cooling loadsoftware (Trane Trace, Camel, IES VE etc), AutoCAD, Bluebeam
• Goodcommunication skills and ability to interact with client ona regular basis
• Consistentlyproduce accurate work without errors
• Experienceworking on US/UK/Australia projects will be an added advantage
