AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to design, analyze, and coordinate mechanical systems for hydropower plants. You will work on turbine-generator units, governors, MIV, EOT cranes, and balance-of-plant systems, coordinating with civil, electrical, and other mechanical engineers.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 7–12 years in hydroelectric projects, with knowledge of relevant codes and proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is a
Responsible for the design, analysis, and coordination of mechanical systems for hydropower plants, including turbine-generator units, governors, MIV, EOT cranes, and balance-of-plant systems (cooling water, drainage/dewatering, HVAC, fire protection, compressed air).
To perform the role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following independently or under the supervision of senior engineers. They will need to perform the following for the hydropower plant turbine-generator units, governors, MIV, EOT cranes and balance of plant systems such as cooling water, drainage-dewatering, HVAC, fire protection and compressed air systems.
