Job summary

Eeki in Kota seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to drive SolidWorks-based design and development from concept to installation, with strong NPD leadership. You will be pivotal in planning, testing and deploying new mechanical solutions on the farm sites.

The role requires oversight of piping systems, site installation, and cross-team collaboration, including maintenance and troubleshooting. English and Hindi communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models, assemblies and drawings using SolidWorks; lead projects from concept to installation, testing and commissioning.
• Support New Product Development from concept through prototype testing and design improvements.
• Oversee mechanical, plumbing and piping systems including pumps, valves and pipelines; supervise site installation, contractors and vendors.
• Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance and troubleshoot problems; identify root causes and provide quick, safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare SOPs, maintenance schedules, checklists, drawings and technical documentation; suggest improvements and cost reductions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Civil, Electrical, Procurement, Production and other teams; communicate in English and Hindi with management and site teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong practical knowledge of SolidWorks 3D modelling, mechanical design, new product development, project execution, plumbing/piping, maintenance and troubleshooting. The candidate should have a problem-solving and innovative mindset, good analytical/thinking skills and the ability to provide quick, practical and cost-effective solutions. Preference will be given to candidates comfortable with site-based work and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models, assemblies and drawings using SolidWorks. Lead and execute new mechanical projects from concept/planning to installation, testing and commissioning.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) including concept, 3D design, prototype, testing and design improvement.
• Handle mechanical, plumbing and piping systems including pumps, valves, pipelines and fittings. Supervise site installation, fabrication, contractors, technicians and vendors.

Preferred Candidate

A hands-on, innovative and responsible Mechanical Engineer who enjoys site work, can independently handle projects, quickly solve technical problems and convert ideas into practical mechanical products and solutions.

Experience in agricultural, greenhouse/polyhouse, irrigation, industrial or fabrication projects will be an added advantage.
