Wonderla Holidays in Chennai, India seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to lead maintenance of rides and mechanical systems. The role requires a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and strong teamwork.

You will oversee hydraulic/pneumatic systems, implement safety procedures, and drive cost-efficient maintenance practices. The incumbent reports to the Head Mechanical and collaborates with multiple departments to ensure uptime, safety, and exceptional guest

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance of rides and attractions, including mechanical equipment and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of amusement rides in the Mechanical department.
• Ensure equipment uptime with safe, well-maintained conditions.
• Build and develop the team to ensure consistent, systematic work and morale.
• Coordinate with intra- and inter-departments for multitasking.
• Implement proper procedures for all maintenance activities.
• Optimize maintenance and operation costs.
• Ensure rides operate safely and staff are trained.
• Liaise with contractors for quick services as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing the maintenance of Rides & Attractions including Mechanical equipment, Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems.
• Managing the operation and maintenance of amusement rides and equipment for Mechanical department
• Maintaining the equipment and machineries to be always with better uptime, excellent condition, safe and systematic
• Build and develops the team to have consistent systematic work and moral values to the staff
• Must be multi-tasking and always be working hand-in-hand with intra & inter departments
• Ensure & follow proper procedures are in place for all mechanical maintenance related works and activities
• Implement and ensure proper methods to optimize maintenance & operation cost
• Must always remain communicative and be responsible for all land rides maintenance activities
• Motivate team members and to be very communicative towards colleagues from all departments
• Effective preventive maintenance and other related programs are thoroughly carried out as per schedule
• To be pro-active always towards making any necessary adjustments, ordering spare parts and identifying mechanical issues
• Ensure that all rides and equipment are operating safely and team members are always trained and competent
• Liaise with the team and contractors for any quick services required for maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Build, train and motivate the team to perform the job as per need of system.
• Ensure data's are collected and entered with accuracy as per timelines for an efficient system
• Effective utilization of budget and staffs to maximize operational effectiveness and minimize cost.
• Any other duties requested by the Management Team
