Job summary

Amilite is seeking a CAD Drafting and Design Support professional in Bengaluru to prepare 2D/3D drawings, maintain BOMs, and assist in prototype fabrication. You will coordinate with engineering and production teams to update drawings per manufacturing requirements.

The role requires knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks and a solid understanding of fabrication and machining processes, with the ability to modify designs as instructed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow engineering instructions and modify designs accordingly.

Responsibilities:

CAD Drafting & Design Support

• Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on inputs from Engineering Head or Manager and Design team.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes.

Engineering Documentation

• Maintain drawing records, technical specifications, and revision history.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.

Prototype Support

• Assist in prototype fabrication and testing.
• Coordinate with workshop or production team for prototype preparation.

Manufacturing Coordination

• Provide technical drawings and clarifications to production teams.
• Ensure drawings are updated according to manufacturing requirements.

Vendor Coordination

• Share technical drawings with vendors when required.
• Track progress of outsourced engineering or fabrication work.

Skills & Requirements:

• Basic proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Understanding of fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
• Ability to follow engineering instructions and modify designs accordingly.
