Job summary

Global Connect Solutions in Bengaluru seeks a Mechanical Engineer with PLM and 3D modelling expertise to support turbomachinery design, manufacturing, and plant integration.

You will apply knowledge of CAD formats, P&ID, and plant construction to contribute throughout product lifecycles and shop-floor projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background with experience in PLM and 3D modelling tools.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens PLM tools such as Teamcenter, Active Workspace, NX, Vis Mockup, and Tecnomatix.
• Experience with plant modelling tools like Navisworks, Aveva E3D, and SmartPlant.
• Understanding of turbomachinery products design, manufacturing, and assembly.
• Knowledge of plant design, P&ID, piping design, and plant construction.
• Understanding of ITO and OTR terminologies and project engineering concepts.
• Experience in assembly tooling and fixturing.
• Knowledge of CAD model formats, 3D attributes, and CAD conversion techniques.
• Exposure to MES tools like Opcenter, Oracle MES, or similar is an advantage.
• Understanding of industrial digital twin concepts.
• Experience working with shop-floor or production environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) applications is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with NPD/NTD project execution and Agile methodologies.
