Job summary

Blueprints Design is seeking MEP Design Engineers / MEP BIM Engineers to join our team in Pune. You will contribute to MEP design development, multidisciplinary coordination, and BIM-based project delivery for large-scale projects.

The role requires strong engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, and ACC, with 2–8 years of experience. You will engage in design development, coordination with architects and structural teams, and ensure constructability in BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech / ME / MTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Building Services, or related engineering field.
• 3–8 years of experience in MEP design, BIM engineering, and coordination.
• Strong proficiency in BIM software and multidisciplinary coordination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to MEP design development, layouts, system planning, and technical detailing.
• Translate engineering design intent into accurate BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Review inputs, calculations, equipment schedules, and specifications to support BIM development.
• Coordinate MEP services with Architecture, Structure, and other building systems.
• Perform clash detection and resolve issues using Navisworks.
• Prepare coordinated layouts, sections, details, schedules from BIM models.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors during reviews and deliverables.
• Identify design gaps and constructability issues and support BIM workflows.
• Contribute to BIM standards, templates, libraries, and project delivery improvements.

We are seeking MEP Design Engineers / MEP BIM Engineers who combine strong engineering fundamentals with proficiency in BIM environments such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) . If you want to work on complex, large-scale projects and play an active role in MEP design development, multidisciplinary coordination, and BIM-based project delivery, this role is built for you.

Role Overview -

As an MEP Design Engineer / MEP BIM Engineer , you will contribute to MEP design development, engineering coordination, BIM implementation, and project delivery.

This role goes beyond basic modeling. You will actively interpret and develop engineering design intent, evaluate technical requirements, coordinate building services, identify design and constructability issues, and contribute to critical multidisciplinary coordination decisions that directly impact project outcomes.

Candidates may specialize in Mechanical / HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing / Public Health Engineering (PHE), or Fire Protection systems.

Key Responsibilities -

• MEP Design Development: Contribute to the design development, engineering, layouts, system planning, and technical detailing of MEP services.
• BIM Modeling: Translate engineering design intent into accurate and coordinated BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP .
• Engineering Analysis: Review design inputs, technical calculations, equipment requirements, schematics, specifications, and consultant information to support engineering and BIM development.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate MEP services with Architecture, Structure, Interior, Façade, and other building systems to achieve practical and integrated project solutions.
• Clash Coordination: Perform clash detection and technical coordination using Navisworks , identify critical conflicts, and drive issues towards resolution.
• Design & Constructability Review: Identify design gaps, spatial constraints, accessibility concerns, service conflicts, and constructability issues during project development.
• MEP Drawings: Prepare coordinated layouts, sections, details, schedules, and construction documentation directly from BIM models.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work actively with clients, MEP consultants, architects, structural consultants, contractors, and internal project teams during technical and coordination reviews.
• Issue Resolution: Identify engineering and coordination discrepancies early and support their resolution through structured BIM workflows.
• Process Optimization: Contribute to continuous improvement of company BIM standards, engineering workflows, templates, libraries, and project delivery processes.

Qualifications & Skills -

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Building Services, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Experience: 3–8 years of relevant experience in MEP Design, BIM Engineering, and/or multidisciplinary coordination across Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Healthcare, Industrial, or other large-scale projects.
• Discipline Expertise: Strong technical understanding in one or more disciplines — HVAC / Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing / PHE, Fire Protection, or ELV systems.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Engineering Understanding: Ability to interpret engineering design intent, calculations, schematics, equipment schedules, technical specifications, and construction requirements.
• Coordination: Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination between MEP, Architecture, Structure, and other building systems.
• Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, attention to detail, technical decision-making, and a collaborative mindset.
• Execution: Disciplined approach to project timelines, deliverables, quality standards, and communication.
