Job summary

Philips India in Maharashtra invites an experienced Mechanical Designer - STET to lead labelling projects across design, packaging, and localization. Qualifications

  • Interpret international standards and regulatory requirements for label specs.
  • Plan timelines, deliverables, and resource execution.
  • Lead teams across device, packaging, localization; ensure consistency.

  • Drive design changes and continuous improvement of processes and tools.

Mechanical Designer - STET
Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end implementation of labelling activities—from requirement definition to production release—by collaborating with Project Managers, interpreting standards, and driving execution through cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end labelling lifecycle including requirement definition, design, verification/validation, and release to production
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to gather inputs and convert them into clear, structured, and compliant labelling requirements/design inputs
  • Interpret international standards and regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable label specifications
  • Plan and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource execution, ensuring timely and high-quality output
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to drive label development (device, packaging, localization) and ensure consistency across all touchpoints (IFU, packaging, systems, symbol glossary)
  • Ensure all label requirements are complete, non-conflicting, testable, and compliant, and support verification/validation and market-specific needs
  • Manage design and regulatory changes, and drive continuous improvement by identifying better processes, tools, and implementation strategies
Key Requirements
  • Experience: 8–10 years in labelling (preferably in medical devices or regulated industry)
  • Strong experience in: End-to-end label lifecycle and requirement engineering
  • Working with Project Managers and cross-functional teams
  • Planning and managing project deliverables
  • Good understanding of: International standards and regulatory requirements
  • Design control processes (Design Input → Output → Verification/Validation)
  • Proven ability to: Lead teams and drive execution
  • Handle ambiguity and deliver solutions effectively

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
