Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services is hiring Mechanical Designers to join our team in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad offices. You will lead design and drafting activities for Mechanical, Clean/Black Utilities, and Piping systems in Life Science facilities, coordinating with multiple disciplines and vendors.

The role requires 10+ years of life sciences design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and knowledge of utility layouts.

Qualifications

• ITI or equivalent in Mechanical/Piping with 10+ years in life sciences design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with Plant 3D is desirable.
• Experience coordinating with multi-discipline teams on complex facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and drafting for lifecycle facilities including piping and utilities.
• Prepare layouts for boiler houses, gas banks, and utility foundations.
• Create isometrics, nozzle orientation layouts, and piping MTOs.
• Coordinate inputs from Civil/Structural, HVAC, Electrical and other teams.
• Develop and manage Revit models, templates, and clash resolution.

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Mechanical Designers to join our dedicated team at your office in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad locations.

To lead and deliver design & drafting activities for Mechanical, Clean/Black Utilities, and Piping systems in Life Science facilities

• To prepare utility Building layout, Boiler house layout, Gas bank layout
• To prepare Utility foundation layout - To prepare internal/external piping layout with sections
• To calculate Piping MTO - To prepare Isometric drawings - To prepare nozzle orientation layout
• Independently coordinate with other disciplines for inputs
• Should be able to review Input drawings like Civil structural pipe rack, Civil foundation, RCP, Fire system layouts
• To prepare insert plate, puddle flanges input drawings - To prepare Utility Pendent /Pipe in pipe layout
• To prepare Laboratory gases piping layout - To prepare Process drain services layout
• To prepare Black & clean utilities generation, distribution P & IDs
• To prepare Clean utility piping - Fire protection system knowledge would be an added advantage
• Develop and manage Revit models, families, templates, and clash resolution
• Proficient in Revit
• Support Engineers in vendor drawing reviews
• Coordinate with Process, HVAC, Electrical, Civil/Arch teams for multidiscipline model accuracy
• Autodesk Plant 3D would be an added advantage

• ITI in Mechanical/Piping Draughtsman or recognized other institute with 10+ years’ experience in life sciences design consultancy
• Certificate course in Auto CAD/Revit would be added advantage
• Any other course would be an added advantage.
