Job description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - UAV to lead the structural development and systems integration for high-performance, long-range autonomous platforms. This role focuses on the design of mid‑to‑high MTOW fixed‑wing aircraft capable of operating in extreme dynamic environments. You will be responsible for the full mechanical lifecycle, utilizing SolidWorks for advanced surfacing, assembly management, and structural validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize composite airframe architectures (e.g., delta‑wing configurations) to balance high structural rigidity with low drag.
  • Design and validate structural reinforcements capable of withstanding high‑acceleration, rail‑based deployment systems.
  • Engineer vibration‑isolated mounting solutions for high‑displacement piston engines to ensure minimal mechanical noise transfer to sensitive avionics.
  • Design internal layouts for high‑mass payloads and large‑volume fuel systems while maintaining strict center‑of‑gravity (CoG) constraints.
  • Design cooling solutions for internal combustion systems and ensure all mechanical interfaces meet MIL‑STD‑810G environmental standards, specifically regarding water‑sealing and corrosion resistance.
Technical Requirements
  • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, with a focus on advanced surfacing and large assembly management.
  • Proven experience with aerospace‑grade composites (CFRP/GFRP) and lightweight alloys.
  • Working knowledge of DO‑160 and MIL‑STD‑810G for airborne hardware qualification.
  • Ability to utilize FEA tools to validate structural integrity against high‑G ignition and cruise loads.
