Job summary

VINSAK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in machine design and engineering documentation. The role involves creating manufacturing-ready drawings using Solid Edge 2025 and developing 3D models with SolidWorks.

You will support product development, prepare BOMs, and coordinate with Manufacturing, Purchase, Projects, Service, and Quality. Based in Navi Mumbai, the position offers exposure to PLM processes and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Hands-on experience creating 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge 2025.
• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge 2025.
• Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and machine components using SolidWorks and Solid Edge.
• Prepare production-ready manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and part drawings.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support machine design, product development, machine customization, and engineering change requests.
• Maintain engineering documentation, revisions, and design records.
• Upload engineering documents into Teamcenter.
• Perform Teamcenter activities, including Check-In, Check-Out, document revisions, and document management.
• Coordinate with the Manufacturing, Purchase, Projects, Service, and Quality departments.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly.
• Support engineering data migration, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives, as required.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards and manufacturing requirements.

Mechanical Design Engineer

VINSAK is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in machine design and engineering documentation.

The role involves creating manufacturing-ready 2D drawings using Solid Edge 2025, developing and modifying 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks and Solid Edge 2025, preparing engineering documentation and BOMs, and supporting machine design, engineering modifications, and PLM activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge 2025 (Mandatory).
• Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and machine components using SolidWorks and Solid Edge.
• Prepare production-ready manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and part drawings.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support machine design, product development, machine customization, and engineering change requests.
• Maintain engineering documentation, revisions, and design records.
• Upload engineering documents into Teamcenter.

Qualification

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
• Hands-on experience in creating 2D manufacturing drawings using Solid Edge 2025 (Mandatory).

Required Skills

• Good working knowledge of SolidWorks for 3D modelling and machine design.
• Experience in assembly modelling and detailed manufacturing drawing creation.
• Strong knowledge of Engineering Drawing standards, GD&T, fits, and tolerances.
• Experience in preparing BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, and sheet metal.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience with Teamcenter or any PLM system.
• Experience in printing and packaging machine design will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design or industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of engineering document control and revision management.Familiarity with standard mechanical components, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and fabrication assemblies.

Location

The Mechanical Design Engineer will work from Navi Mumbai.
